Crassus Snow died during the First Rebellion between Capitol and 13 Districts; Coriolanus Snow was chosen to mentor one of Lucy Gray Baird’s female tributes at the 10th Annual Hunger Games, hoping to earn himself the Plinth Prize scholarship and thus secure his family fortune. Academy dean Casca Highbottom advised Coriolanus instead to focus on entertainment instead of winning as Lucy Grey Baird engaged Capitol viewers by slipping snakes down Mayor Lipp’s daughter’s dress; Coriolanus earned her trust by taking her with to Capitol Zoo where all tributes were publicly caged before taunting Arachne Crane finally killed her by Coriolanus himself.
